We'd like to announce that we are now hiring for Spring 2018! If you'd like to live and work in beautiful Tochigi Prefecture, now is the time to send us your application.
As a gentle reminder, we require that you be a native English speaker and have a Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent.
To apply, use our contact form, located here. Tell us a little bit about yourself (where you're from, why you're interested in coming to Tochigi, etc.) and paste your resume or c.v. below your introduction.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Happy Holidays from us here in Japan to you and yours wherever you are. We are getting ready to tuck into that most festive of Japanese Christmas traditions, the pre-ordered roast chicken from KFC! Then, after participating in a New Year's Eve countdown, we'll snuggle up in our kotatsu and spend the day with friends and family, eating osechi ryori and watching bad t.v. We hope your holidays are just as enjoyable.
As you make your resolutions and plans for the new year, don't forget to come back and check in with us! Send us your applications, get your visas in order, and get ready for a new adventure abroad.
And remember, ANY questions or comments you might have can be sent to our contact form and we'll get back to you just as soon as we can.
Best wishes again to you and yours for a fun 2017!
Come Work with Us!
Work Tochigi is currently accepting applications for teaching positions for the 2017 - 2018 school year. We are looking for teachers to fill Assistant Language Teacher positions throughout Tochigi Prefecture.
Applicants should be legal adults with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from your home country. Work visas will be needed before you can work in Japan, but if you do not have one yet, do not worry. We can and will assist you through the application process in any way we can.
If you’ve been looking for the chance to come to Japan, or have been thinking about teaching as a way to experience life abroad, now’s your chance. Come work with us at Work Tochigi!
Here in Japan, the school term starts in April. For you, the teacher, that means that you need to have your visa sorted and living situation arranged by the end of March. We can help with both, but you have to get the ball rolling by sending us an application.
Just use our contact form (here) and make sure to tell us your contact information and anything else you think might be relevant. We will then send qualified applicants a request for a resume and an interview.
What Should I Do Next?
Now is a very good time to start getting your travel documents ready. You’ll need a valid passport and visa to come work in Japan, so it’s best to get those ready as soon as possible. The best place to start with both is your home country’s immigration office.
Good luck and we hope to hear from you soon!
